Builders wanting to wrestle every last millimeter of solid axle clearance have long known about the advantages of U-Bolt flipping. This is no doubt the configuration you will want to use when building one of Trail-Gears Fabricated 3.5" OD Housings. Traditionally your U-Bolt threads face downward and extend through the bottom U-Bolt plate exposing the nuts and and bolts to potential damage from contact with terrain that could ruin the threads.
Our U-Bolt Plate Kit for 3.5" OD Axle Tubes is designed for 9/16" U-bolts and up to 2.5-Inch wide leaf springs.
To make bumpstop installation as simple as possible, these U-bolt plates include threads to install Wheeler's SuperBump Bumpstops.
Plates are raw metal and will need to be painted or powdercoated.
